We purchased this lovely MGF privately 22/7/23 and it is the rare VVC model (only 42 orange examples left on the road) and it was obviously much loved over its previous 26 years. It is a reluctant sale but we now need something a bit more practical and modern. By way of background information, it was built by the Longbridge factory on 29/11/96. The Factory record from the MGF Register indicates it was vehicle number 17,199 out of the 7 year production run of 77,269 of which 5,440 remain in the UK with an MOT. Extras included pearlescent volcano orange paint, leather, embossed seats, ABS & Power Steering. Registered 17/1/97 as P365 LSP and probably used as a showroom demonstrator. Romford, Essex Main dealer Premier Motors service stamped just 4 months later: 8/5/97 @ 2,376 miles. Purchased by Mr R Hollis with plate P5 RJH. Main dealer service stamped on first anniversary: 22/1/98 @ 7,059 miles. Main dealer service stamped on second anniversary: 8/2/99 @ 9,064 miles. The third owner probably added c24,000 miles over c10 years from 1999. Road tax discs show P365 LSP from 1999 to 2010. We believe the fourth owner added c5,000 miles from 2010 to 2018. Online MOT records show a 5 year gap from 2011 to 2016 indicating it was in storage. A retired Solicitor purchased it in 2018 for his wife and he maintained it himself and gave us receipts for: Stainless steel underfloor coolant pipes 5/18 Battery 3/22 Hydrolastic fluid 3/22 4 litres Magnatec 10W40 A3B4 oil 7/23 Fuel filter 3/23 They only added c1,500 miles in their 5 years of ownership but did enter it in some car shows. They lived in Sudbury, Suffolk and apparently never took it out in the rain. We have continued to look after it and it lives in our garage (there is not a drop of oil on the floor). 4/8/23 Full service by MG specialists Beech Hill Garage (39,450 mileage). Also replaced the Head Gasket and radiator and fuel pump. Waxoyl treatment undertaken to maintain good chassis. 27/5/24 2 new tyres and all wheels refurbished in black 29/7/24 Full Service by Clic Mechanic (46,452 mileage). Both keys included. We will retain our cherished plate, returning it to its original P365 LSP.
