Stunning Red 5.5 Merc SL500 with beige leather for sale. Mechanically, this car runs beautifully. Very good bodywork too. The seats/interior leather is very well maintained and the driver's seat/bolster look very healthy for the 68k miles! The passenger seat shows no wear at all. See photos. Mileage: Just turned 68k. I am the fifth owner. I looked for 18-months for this condition and colour combo SL but sadly, I have only completed around 3k in my two years of ownership. The car is garaged always, and the service history shows A & B service stamps at 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022 (see photos). Annual mileage has been very low from 2018 to date, including my period from 2023. **Please see the video showing the running and also, the vario roof in operation** The performance is stunning and for me, its AMG performance without the cost and aggravation! It has the AMG factory kit and wheels and two ignition keys come with the car. The vario roof mechanism was serviced by the previous owner and it works like a dream. I have also lubricated the seals with krytox, as recommended. The car received a replacement ABC pump assembly from me in July 2023 from Alexander Crowe, Mercedes independent in Newmarket. The car sits very well and I have had no issues with the ABC. In addition, a replacement for the convenience (boot located) battery was also fitted, with total cost of around 1,700. New Bridgestone Potenza tyres were fitted all round, costing around 900 . There were some issues in the November 2024 MOT relating to; NS door indictor, OS mirror glass and side unit. These items were all replaced by Welwyn Merx, along with carrying out an A service to include brake fluid change (14th February 2025, costing 797). I have expense of approx 4.4k during my ownership. Bills from work totalling around 9.5k are available, dating from around 2017. I would say there is little to do mechanically now, until the next service - showing as B service in 10k miles time, as at 14th February 2025. Note: The wheels probably need a refurb to get it mint and there is a small scratch in the paintwork-front spoiler, lower section.
