Description
My friend Rob has asked me to sell his beloved Merc. He has owned it from new, when it was delivered and adapted for hands-free steering. The mechanism has been removed at considerable expense, and a replacement steering column and driver's side carpet fitted. The work was done by Klasse of Fulham, who have looked after the car since it came out of warranty. It was serviced and MOTd at the same time. It has four Continental tyres, one of which is new. The roof has recently been overhauled and some replacement hydraulics fitted.
This is a one-owner car that has been maintained by a leading London independant Mercedes specialist, without regard for expense. It has a full service history, and a clean MOT record stretching back to a failure for a poorly fitted tyre in 2012. It would be hard to find a car in better mechanical condition. It drives superbly, and for such a rapid machine is surprisingly economical. All the toys work.
It is the quintessential motorway cruiser, but spends most of its time in London. As a result, it has its share of London knocks and bumps. I am assured by my car painter friend that the repairs would not be too costly. I have priced it accordingly.
The car is NOT ULEZ compliant. It has an exemption that lapses in April. It can be test driven in SE London, subject to the usual insurance and license conditions.
