Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Life 1.6 TDI DSG Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) A very good condition, low mileage versatile wheelchair accessible VW Caddy DSG van which can accommodate driver, wheelchair (or mobility scooter) and up to two further seated passengers. The vehicle comes with one rear single passenger seat and one front removable passenger seat. There are anchor points for the wheelchair/mobility scooter in the rear and the front. The van was professionally converted by Sirus consisting of a lowered floor, with wheelchair (or mobility scooter) in the rear or alternatively wheelchair upfront. It also has automatic lowering of the rear of the van to give the ramp a reduced incline, making accessibility easier. There is also an electronic rear tailgate and ramp. A remote key opens the powered rear tailgate and automatically deploys the ramp so that a wheelchair/mobility scooter can then be moved onto the ramp and loaded into the vehicle. The remote can then be used for the automated stowing of the ramp and closing of the tailgate. The automated opening and closing of the rear tailgate is also possible via switches installed in both the dashboard and the rear cabin. The DSG automatic gear box is ideal for driving.
