Description
Surely the lowest mileage & best example available in Scotland? With it's gleaming black metallic paintwork, soft ivory rouched leather with black piping, complemented by burr walnut facings, this is a very special car that never fails to get admiring glances and comments whenever it's out and about. It's like a gentleman's club on wheels!
With less than 41k miles on the clock, the car's just had a major service & has had it's cambelt done. It's got four new tyres, is MOT'd until 20th Nov'25 and comes with a thick folder of history, including services at:
8,296; 13,052; 15,891; 19,143; 21,543; 24,339; 25,748; 26,506; 27,231; 27,893; 28,960; 30,859; 32,578; 34,800; 35,780; 37,500 & 40,650
The car has undoubtedly had an easy life since it was first registered in March 2006. The first owner was a company director who covered just 13k miles in it's first two years.
The second owner was a retired professor who purchased it in April 2008 from the original supplying dealership - Swain & Jones (trading in his old XJ6). Swain & Jones, also serviced the car for the first three years of it's life. The gentleman then had it serviced every March, with the exception of 2021. I bought the car in December 2022, having just been serviced by the garage that acquired it from the gentleman's family.
When I purchased the car, it had just 35,780 miles on the clock and I've covered around 5,000 miles since then. I'd been looking for the correct spec XJ for a year, having sold my classic 1989 BMW 3 series at the end of 2021. I'd previously owned an X type and XF, but had always wanted one of the last "proper" Jaguars, so I'd waited for the right one to come along. The car has been the third car in a two person household, so just doesn't get used enough and I've now got my sights set on another future classic.
When it is was originally supplied in 2006, it came fully loaded with the latest tech and would set you back 85k in today's money. It even has a TV, but you'll need an analogue to digital conversion kit (not something I felt the need to do).
If you've been looking for a low mileage X350 in the Sovereign spec, that's been cherished and still turns heads , then this is the car for you. You simply don't find them in this condition very often, so don't risk losing out on a beautiful car that will undoubtedly become a classic as the Jaguar brand is changing completely.
PLEASE NOTE: The car will revert to it's original registration RO06 KZM prior to sale.
