I bought this car from a family member who owned the car for over two years without any problems. I have used it as a temporary second car, so I have only put 2k miles on it. Recently the car started to stall when engine cold (not all trips) with the engine management light coming on, P0087 and P0088 fault codes (Low fuel pressure and high fuel pressure). I have had it tested and inspected by a non-local independent Jaguar specialist. They said the timing chain needs replacing (slack test) as do the rear brake discs and pads. They gave an estimated quote of 2,970.48 (charging 120 labour per hour). However, I just had the vehicle MOT'd at my local non jaguar specialist garage who passed the car but with advisories regarding brake discs. So car comes with 12 months MOT. As I no longer need a second vehicle, I am selling the car cheap considering the work that needs doing. This is a Cat N vehicle. Autotrader values price at 8,300. Service printout shows, 1 stamp missing, 13/12/16 - 5 miles 19/04/18 - 20,728 miles 04/11/22 - 52,020 miles 16/04/24 -59,894 miles So next service not due until 2026. MOT due in February. There are 2 x keys and handbook.
