For sale is my M235i, it's been absolutely brilliant, the best mlite I've had out the previous mlites I've owned consisting of 2xM135i, 1xM240i. After the arrival of another car I'm under pressure to let go of this one! After having an M240i with a b58 I missed the sound and delivery of the N55 engine from the 35i's so was on the hunt for decent m235i. After looking at a few rough cars I found this car belonging to a BMW tech which was handy, when I bought the car the only mod was an aluminium charge pipe, it's something that needs doing as the original charge pipes fail, happened to me on a m135i! It has good spec, HK stereo, pro nav, heated seats, adaptive headlights, ZF 8 speed auto, factory privacy glass, full black leather, rear sensors, speed limiter, ice cold air con. Last year I spent over 3000 on improvement's, an area these mlites really lack in is the suspension, especially once they are older, the rear end pogoes over bumps and uneven road surfaces. I prefer the oem look and I'm over 40 years of age using it as a daily car to commute in so opted for Bilstein b8 dampers with Eibach pro springs (bilstein b12 pro kit) it slightly lowers the car so looks more original, has a greater comfort combined with excellent performance and body control transforming the drive especially when you want to have a bit of fun. M performance bump stops were fitted, rear subframe had powerflex poly inserts front & rear with powerflex diff bushes. The rear end floats around as standard on these so this tightens the rear end up lovely keeping the ride comfortable, all followed by wheel alignment. This was all done at Hybrid Tune in Suffolk, a well known garage, while it was in, the gearbox had a full service, new transmission oil, genuine ZF gearbox sump & filter, its smooth as butter now. This should be done at 100k but done at around 61k. Hybrid Tune are well know for their ecu calibrations so also had a tune on the dyno, they replaced all the coil packs for upgraded Bosch units and replaced spark plugs with s58 version to run super reliable. This has transformed the drivability of the car, it's super smooth with very impressive performance, car feels effortless now, 382bhp with 550nm of torque. The car has Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres with 5-6mm tread. Just had new Brembo brake pads fitted front & rear. The next owner will be very happy with the car, looks great, drives superb and it's had expensive bits done to make it the road car it should have been.
