MS-RT, the South Wales-based company was born through a collaboration between Van-Sport and the people in charge of Ford’s factory World Rally Championship team – M-Sport. Officially approved by Ford this MS-RT R185 is based on the Transit Custom, with just 40 examples produced and benefitting aggressive body-styling. The strictly limited edition is based on the Transit Custom DCIV 5-seat double cab and is available only in stealthy Slate Grey from Ford’s own Special Vehicle Operations department, with subtle red and black rally decals and a unique radiator grille featuring a red flash. In addition, it gets bi-xenon headlamps, advanced driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, blis, a rear camera, 230v power inverter, Power lift-up tailgate and 18-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels in gloss black. It also gets a full carbon-fibre steering wheel with red centre line and stitching and a unique red-stitched leather interior, plus smart gloss black exhaust tips. A further feature is a Maxhaust system, which uses app-based technology to deliver the sound of a sports exhaust through the van’s integral speakers, giving it a soundtrack to match its impressive road dynamics.
