Description
BMW Z4 2.0i SE
A much loved BMW Z4, sadly an MOT failure but too nice to scrap, I am now 75 and have decided to cut my losses and sell her, preferably to an enthusiast for restoration. She is a very pretty example with pale gold bodywork and a tan soft top (the log book describes the body colour as green). Over recent years I have only used her once a week to drive a four mile round trip to a country park, where I volunteer.
The body is sound, but with a couple of minor dings, the interior is in good condition with cream leather seats, matching carpets and other fittings and it has a walnut dashboard.
She comes wIth two keys.
The aircon and heating work well.
The radio and CD player work well.
Six speed manual gearbox.
The 4 BMW Ellipsoid 5 spoke wheels have a few marks and are fitted with original spec run-flat tyres with about 12,000 miles wear. There is no spare wheel on this model.
The original engine was seriously damaged when the end of the cam shaft broke up and was replaced with a second hand engine, which requires some attention, possibly the installation of a PCR valve. She starts and runs well and is fun to drive, although due to lack of use the battery does not hold a charge for long.
The soft top mechanism requires attention.
The sensor for the ABS and tyres is faulty, part of the MOT failure.
The rear brakes have rusted due to lack of use and require attention, possibly new discs, part of the MOT failure.
The rear shock absorbers have rusted and require replacement, part of the MOT failure.
