I bought the car back in May 2024 and do still love the car so why am I selling?! Couple or reasons a) my wife won't drive it due to it being manual and secondly I'm coming up to retirement and plan to upgrade to another Porsche (but automatic...). Now for the full history...
I spent quite a bit of time looking for this 911 and made sure that I had the car fully inspected before proceeding with the purchase. The inspection did find some faults but nothing that wasn't expected for this age and mileage of car. Within this time window a number of things do tend to need replacing but was happy to do that with some negotiations. Unfortunately the Porsche specialist failed to pick up a few issues that have meant this car has had a LOT of money spent on it within the last 12 months. It will be an excellent buy for someone knowing the work has been taken care of. The previous owner sold the car with FSH but it wasn't completely correct. It had all the receipts and confirmation from garages but I did have to buy a new service book which Porsche/Specialists have happily stamped. Work over past 12 months:
4 new Pirelli Pilot Sport 4S - Cost 900 (only done 3k miles)
Steering Rack - Cost 1400
Rear Suspension Arms - Cost 550
Oil Pump Vacuum Pipe - Cost 170
Coolant Crossover Pipes - Cost 720
2 Rear Shock Absorbers - Cost 800
Repair and Paint front bumper, alloy repair, all tiny dents removed and ceramic coated Cost 1800
Front discs and pads Cost 480 (changed at 74,364 miles)
Corroded exhaust bolts Cost 180
Air Conditioning Condensers Cost 400
Rear Discs and Pads Cost 490 (changed at 75,346 miles)
Tandem Oil Pump Cost 500
Bosch Battery Cost 120
So 8000 spent in the last 12 months without including the servicing. The car has 12 months MOT and I will also service it before it goes.
Prior to buying it the car had a clutch at 47, 135 miles. It has had a new starter motor and water pump (all receipts available).
The car has also had a bore scope inspection which was all good and happy to share the photos etc.
The number plate has been changed to GSZ 9997 and included with car. I have also picked up a hard top (not quite the right colour) from a 2010 997.2 Turbo but need to acquire the correct fittings (later version) but can explain.
I am happy to answer any questions, share the previous inspection and discuss anything. Best to answer all questions before viewing.
