Originally registered on April 16th, 1971, as a 1200cc Beetle, it is now tax and MOT exempt. The speedometer was replaced shortly after I bought it, so the actual mileage is not accurate. However, since its first MOT in 2012, it has only covered 4,700 miles. I purchased it in 2007 as a partially converted Baja with no engine. It now features a 1679cc engine, which was machined to fit thicker-walled, larger barrels. Over the last 18 years, I've rebuilt, modernized, and improved the car. Photos of the restoration are available, and there's a photo listing all the work done, as it's too much to detail here. As you can see from the photos, it has four separate exhausts, which are very loud and always a talking point at car shows, drawing a lot of interest. The Bug is never taken out in the rain or during the winter months and is always garaged. However, please remember that it is 54 years old and not perfect. I'm only selling because it's becoming a bit hard to drive now, as the steering is heavy. There are a few spare parts that will come with the car.
