Selling my much-loved Mazda MX-5 - the kind of car that always puts a smile on your face. It's the perfect weekend toy, and it's been a joy to own, but sadly, it's time to let someone else enjoy it properly. The car originally came from a fellow enthusiast who had started turning it into a track project. He fitted a few upgrades but never actually used it on track - it ended up being tucked away in storage for years. I bought it with a similar idea in mind, as a shared project car with a friend, but life got in the way (as it does), and it ended up mostly living in a dry garage or under a cover. It's been out now and again for weekend blasts, and every time I drive it, it reminds me how much fun it is and how much it is a shame that the time to sell this car has come - but it deserves to be driven and appreciated far more than I've been able to. A few highlights: Rear roll cage fitted (comes with authenticity paperwork) 14" OZ racing wheels in dark grey Upgraded Mk2 seats - comfier and more supportive than standard Stainless steel exhaust (sounds lovely without being over the top) Bluetooth head unit - easy to pair your phone and enjoy some tunes High-flow front grille for improved airflow Under sills have been restored - outer sills will need attention at some point Mechanically, it's been well looked after with regular servicing and replacements of the usual wear-and-tear parts. It's always been solid and reliable, and surprisingly cheap to run and maintain. I really do think this car has heaps of potential, whether you want to continue turning it into a track car, enjoy it as a weekend cruiser, or even just use it as a fun daily. It's got lots of character, and it's just one of those cars that can remind you why you enjoy driving and makes you want to get back behind the wheel to go for a drive, even if there is no destination in mind, as this car just provides that proper connection between you and the road.
