If you're looking for a well maintained, low mileage, unmodified 159 Sportwagon, please read on. I bought this car in 2014 at 56k miles, and have put only 30000 miles on it since. It has been a superb car, with the smooth 5 cylinder 200 bhp diesel engine and 6 speed transmission. It is original in all respects except for the major reliability work which was done in 2015 (Autolusso Houghton Regis swirl flap-free manifold , blanked EGR) and has been extremely reliable ever since. The Engine is strong having been regularly serviced using Petronas Syntium 5000 DM 5W-30 engine oil simultaneously with all 3 filters (fuel, oil, air). The Gearbox is very smooth using "Red Line" 75W-85 GL4 gear oil. The Timing Belt and water pump were replaced in Feb 2023 at 81500 miles (Autolusso Penrith). At the same time the front sub-frame was replaced with a brand new one (Starline). Four new Tyres (Hankook Ventus Prime4 235/45 R18 98W XL) were fitted in March 2023. The suspension was refreshed in June 2023 with Bilstein B4 shock absorbers and new front and rear springs and top mounts all round. The ride and handling are therefore standard and excellent. Inside the black leather is in very good condition with no splits or tears and only very slight wear on the driver seat. The paintwork overall still retains a deep shine however the bonnet, like all 159s, has suffered from stone chips. The paint on the downturned left hand edge of the bonnet has also deteriorated and requires attention. Consistent with its age, there are of course some minor blemishes but only one small ding on the rear boot lid. The drivers window opens and closes but can struggle a bit. A brand new Sony head unit has been installed this year. A spare set of winter wheels and tyres (nearly new Pirelli sottozero) on 17" 5-spoke alloys can be included if desired together with aerodynamic roof bars . It has a detachable tow-bar which has only seen very light use and not used at all since the full suspension update. All-in-all a fantastic car which I will be sorry to part with but the time has come as it is getting little use and I want to sell it with the advantage of so much recent work completed and a No-advisories MOT which expires in October 2025.
