MOT Dec 2025 - Low Mileage - Turbo conversion. I am regretfully selling a car I never planned to sell. I have owned this Mx5 since April 2016, and honestly, selling it feels like selling my own leg (or the missus). As can be seen in the photos, it has been painted to resemble the original lotus elan. It is a bit marmite, at first I was unsure, but I have grown to love how individual it is. This was originally completed by an Mx5 specialist in Leighton Buzzard, where I believe they entered it into a competition. I bought the car from said specialist thereafter. In my ownership, this car has gone through many many changes, with it finally culminating to the current spec. 1.8 replacement engine, fitted by the Mx5 Restorer late 2023. Td04 hybrid turbo conversion - fitted by skuzzle 2019. 211 bhp - mapped at Surrey rolling road. Safe power and very driveable. Bofi clutch - very driveable feeling clutch - fitted when fitting a mk2 5 speed gearbox. MeisterR coilvers - honestly the best for one of these cars with a suitable mix between sporty and comfort - and much better than the original tired suspension. Mintex discs and pads Goodwin racing exhaust - great exhaust for not too loud but great noise. Lotus elise seats on rails - I have used loads of different seats - these fit me best but are tired as can be seen in the pictures. Replacement green roof to match the paint fitted in 2021. Clean MOT and loads of history for the 9 years I have owned it. Bodywork rock solid, with minor cosmetic imperfections. For the sake of transparency, if keeping the car I would replace the stereo, and the tachometer is sticky when cold - I asked that to be looked at at the last service, but they could not replicate the issue. Its not a perfect car, but has had stacks spent on it, and can now make a very reliable daily/weekend fun car/track car.
