Mercedes 1973 350SL R107 Auto 12 months MOT, this and previous with no advisories. The R107 series was once described as "Elegance never goes out of fashion" and that is still true for these splendid cars. Finished in metallic blue with arguably the most desirable engine a 3.5 litre V8 and original Mexican Hat alloys. 113,500 miles, owner's manual, 2 keys, and of course MOT, road tax and ULEZ exempt. MOT to 23 March 2026. That the last 3 MOTs were issued with no advisories is testament to its care and maintenance. Always garaged, protected with a tailored soft cover and never out in the wet. Original leather interior and carpets all in excellent condition, no rips or tears; replacement carpet in the boot. All in good working order even down to the factory fitted rechargeable torch in the glove box! The underside is solid. During my 7 year ownership in addition to routine maintenance I have: Replaced all rubber fuel hoses from the internal tank filter to the injectors and return. Fuel injectors removed and tested - all good spray pattern and delivery volume. Replaced the auxiliary air valve, (when old can lead to idle problems). Replaced front calipers, steering damper, rear silencer, rear drop link, front grill surround. Inspection of the bulkhead area showed only minimal surface rust, no corrosion. Included in the sale price is a wind deflector (essential for the ladies' hair with the hood down), electric hoist to single-handedly remove/replace the heavy hardtop, hardtop storage stand and that soft dust cover! Not so good points: DVLA website will show a failed MOT in 2017 with the previous owner. The fail points were all repaired with quality SL Shop parts and then passed; the remaining 3 advisories have also since been repaired. The rev counter bounces a bit and the clock in the centre of the dash works but doesn't keep good time. The car is now 52 years old and the paintwork does have a very few blemishes which is only to be expected. Notable are a couple of scratches on the rear nearside wing and hood cover (see pics). The navy blue soft top has a small 2 inch tear above the driver but has been professionally repaired. Apart from that, any imperfections are really minimal and I am being completely honest here. It is a lovely car but please don't expect perfection. Plenty of receipts and more photos of underside, fuel pipes, bulkhead, fuel tank area are available.
