Description

That time has come to find a new custodian for UK54 WRX. I am just the 4th owner of the car and have enjoyed the pleasure for the last 3.5yrs. I have owned the car for fun, along with other fun cars which means I've only been covering around 2-3000 miles per year. Throughout that time it has been stored in either my garage or at specialist storage. I can also say that the two owners previous to me were enthusiasts too. David, who I bought the car from also owned 2 other Subarus (all garaged) and David also reported that the guy he bought off (Derek), greeted him wearing a Subaru jumper (laugh if you will!) and spent most of the time talking about oil changes. I have no knowledge of the first owner. All owners though have kept this car extremely well preserved, which will be evident from a viewing. The car is largely standard (to look at looks almost completely standard) apart from a few typical changes including - BC Coilovers (a common choice as were better, and cheaper than replacing with standard shocks), it has a Powerflow exhaust (with '200 cell' cat apparently) which maintains the iconic sound without being too antisocial, and a wonderous remap (probably along with some other upgrades) by the very talented Andy Carr to produce (I'm told) around 340-350bhp. There is no doubt that the car has this power, but the most impressive element is how smooth the delivery is and how during normal driving conditions you'd simply have no idea what the car was capable of. The two original keys are present, along with a folder FULL of history and receipts. The car has been 100% reliable during my time and the only issues are a corroded A/C pipe (meaning A/C not working) and a temperamental boost gauge. Richard Henry diagnosed that the boost sensor needs replacing. They're about 17quid off ebay, but I haven't got round to replacing it. Rust is most people's concern for these cars and the only area suffering here is on the front wings, just behind the mudflaps. I have a full video of the underside of the car (recently taken at Richard Henry) where it can be seen that there is nothing more than surface rust. Both Richard Henry & The Motorist confirm that there are no concerns! The only other negative I can report is that I had some paintwork done at the front soon after I bought it, to correct some 'road rash' and in my opinion the bonnet is too light... But, not everyone can see this. To summarise, rest assured this is a fine example of a Widetrack Blob.
