Description
Selling my cherished Peugeot 406 Coupe in Polaris Blue. This is my third 406 Coupe (likely my last, so with a heavy heart).
Owned since Feb. '20 (4 previous owners) & kept in reasonably good condition by way of on-street parking close to my property since purchase. Has a remarkably extensive service history (since 2002) as shown in the images, with V5C Document, MOT cert and 1x Peugeot Key (with working remote FOB) in the registered keeper's hands now.
Mechanically, the vehicle runs very well indeed, MOT is to January 2026 (only advisories are; an oil leak (but my mechanic said he couldn't spot any leak when he checked it thoroughly, up on his hoist. So could be a spurious advisory from the MOT station), and the exhaust may need attention in the next year or so).
Engine bay is also in reasonable condition, battery was replaced a few years ago and idles perfectly at the stock 750-800 rpm. Runs smooth and drives with no issues, with a clean gearbox action and transmission. Door straps hold doors open fine, interior seat electronics all fine, and no other running issues.
The only functional issue I am personally aware of, is that the petrol flap mechanism is faulty (this is known issue on the 406 Coupes). There is a YouTube fix on how to repair it (by running a new wire to the mechanism) but I haven't been able to apply the fix. I just hold up the petrol flap release, and insert a small keyring behind the flap itself to reveal the filling cap behind it, so no issues filling with fuel (it has had E5 grade Unleaded Petrol for most of my ownership, not the corrosive E10 cheaper grade).
Cosmetically, the car is in reasonable condition (for its 25 years), the paintwork has started to fade on the roof, and there are a few scratches and blemishes to the rear, bottom bumper (left and right sides), and some slight bubbling to the rear, right bumper and very slightly around the registration plate.
Interior is in very good condition (the boot will be emptied, but the new owner can purchase a full, Thule roof rack kit for a separate 40 quid, to the sale). Seats are clean with no rips or tears in the black leather upholstery, so well looked after.
Prospective buyers can view at my property in the Harrow HA3 area. Please call by mobile, or contact via email to arrange a viewing and a test drive (only 1 passenger for the test drive).
Sale to proceed by securised Bank Transfer only, with the DVLA Transfer of Ownership to be done online. $2,995 (O.V.N.O).
