Description
This is one of 500 VW Corrado VR6 Storms - the limited edition swan song for the Corrado VR6. It's a beautiful example of this sort after classic and a real investment opportunity.
Although this car has 190K miles on the clock, it had a full engine rebuild with new seals at Stealth Racing in 2005. The engine is therefore less than 70K miles old. They also upgraded to a schrick cylinder head and camshafts, and ECU mapping to help the already brilliant VR6 block reach it's true potential. It came off the rolling road at 226 BHP (36 more than standard) and 208 lb-ft of torque. It's a pleasure to drive, with 0-60 times under 6 seconds.
I have owned the car since 2012 and have put 35K miles on the clock in that time, with only 10K of those in the last 6 years. I took the car off the road in lockdown and have been slowly doing jobs to it over the last couple of years getting it ready for a new home. Having young kids means I don't have the time anymore.
The car is pretty much in fully working order and could be used daily, as a track day car, or for a show car (with a bit if work). Although the car has recently had a partial respray, there is slight damage to the bonnet (as pictured). Other than that, the bodywork and interior is in good condition.
Many service components have been recently replaced (new battery, discs and pads, coilpack, MAF, cam position sensor, ball joints, fuel filter) and I have also re-silvered the headlights, which commonly corrode over time. Much care and attention has been given to this car over the years that I've had it, and especially in the last couple of years.
Feel free to ask any questions or to book a viewing. The car is located in Whitley Bay, viewing and test drives highly recommended.
