Description

They always say car people will always have that one car they regretted selling, sadly for me I believe this is my one! For Sale my 1988 Porsche 944S in Guards Red. I bought this car just over a year ago from a classic car dealer who had purchased it as a running project. Before then the car had been sat stationary in storage for a few years due the originals owner's ill health. After it was sold a couple of years ago the front and rear brakes including calipers were replaced along with a full service and it has been back on the road ever since. Since I have owned it, I have fitted 17" Porsche 986 wheels, replaced the thermostat, bottom radiator hose, both front anti roll bar links, alternator regulator, battery, DME relay, power steering belt and adjuster brace. This car is far from a show car but has been a reliable daily for me and a real head turner wherever I take it. I had a lot of plans for this car but sadly I have come to acknowledge that I won't have the time to turn It into the Porsche it deserves to be. But it will be a great summer project for someone! It has just been for its MOT so it comes with a year's MOT! It has a few advisories listed below: -Front wheel bearings slight play -Front tyres slightly cracked -Rear & nearside front brake pipes slightly corroded The car is VERY solid underneath and has never been welded (please see photos). The outer sills are showing signs of bubbling. The paint work on the front end of the car is not great at all and will certainly need to be resprayed, the doors and rear end of the car look great still. The electrics will need looking at as I was in the process of getting the sunroof to work, the latch is clicking but will need someone with some time to get it going properly. The main issue I have had is there seems to be air getting into the clutch line so the clutch pedal has a habit of staying quite low but this seems to go away after a bit of driving. Again it will take someone with some time to fix this but it hasn't stopped me from being able to enjoy the car. The odometer is stuck at 137,908 which is a common thing for these Porsche's. This 944 is in need of a owner who can give it the time and attention it needs to become a really special car. And with prices of these absolutely soaring, now is the right time to buy one! I implore anyone interested to ask any questions or come have a look at the car. I am open to offers but anything silly be ignored. 1 key with immobiliser.
