Ford C-Max 2.0 Zetec Automatic Petrol 2010. Spares or Repair. Hello. I have had this C-Max for a year. It has been a very practical family car but unfortunately in the last few months it has developed a number of issues, most of which I have tried to get fixed. Car runs and drives but has current problems; - Power steering no longer works (the power steering fluid leaked recently). Now steering very heavy at slow speed. - Ongoing coolant issue. Coolant needs frequent topping up. Last year thermostat housing was replaced after major leak but recently the coolant has started running low again. - Has trouble starting. Garage changed spark plugs late last year which seemed to resolve problem but now again it often has trouble starting. I was told it is not a problem with the starter motor. - Left wing mirror broke off, but electric mirror inside still works. Car was fully serviced last year and has a good service history before my ownership with lots of receipts. The fixes needed may be straight forward and this car would be great for someone with the mechanical skills and tools to fix. Would be a shame to be scrapped as there is a decent car here with the right fixes. 71,925 miles. Ulez compliant. Front and Rear parking sensors. Belt tensioner replaced last year. Car was on private plate for majority of my ownership. Original and current reg FH10 GWE. This engine has a timing chain which should last the life of the engine. I have decided to not get it fixed myself as I have now bought a smaller car.
