Description

BMW 130i SE - Rare, Fun but still practical little sleeper hatchback. This is probably one of the most practical but fun sleeper cars out there, rear-wheel-drive hatchback with a powerful and reliable 3.0L straight-six engine that can still transport your family around and even fit a dishwasher in the back if you need to go to the tip. I've owned it for the last 7 years, and it's been an absolute joy. The only reason I'm selling is because I've got an 80-mile daily commute now and need something more efficient. On the motorway and A-roads, it returns around 32mpg, and on twisty backroads, it's closer to 27mpg. It's done 141k miles, but the engine still runs beautifully, and it drives exactly as it should. Why This One? Rare SE Model - Lighter than the M Sport and with more comfortable suspension, which is a real bonus on our poorly maintained roads. Hydraulic Power Steering - Gives far better feedback than the electric steering fitted to later models. Perfect Balance of Fun and Usability - Great to drive but still practical enough for daily use. Doesn't have an infotainment screen, this was probably a negative factor when the car was new but nowadays the screen fitted to some of the models looks cheap and hopelessly outdated. Condition Exterior: Generally in great shape for its age, though there are a few minor dents on the roof from acorns and the usual stone chips on the front. Interior: In good condition overall, though it's a 19-year-old daily driver, so it's not immaculate. The car comes with a private plate included, which would be perfect if your name starts with an "R" and you do MOTs! Honestly, this is a fantastic little car that I'll be sad to see go. The 130i is getting harder to find, and if looked after properly, they're likely to hold their value well.
