Description

Very well looked after. 100,000 miles (This will rise slightly as I'm still using the car for shopping and socialising). 12 months MOT, 4 very good tyres with deep tread Last oil and filter service at 96,432 miles New clutch April 2024 2 keys New Bosch wiper blades (Jan 25) Everything (bar the aircon and folding mirrors) works on this car as it should. The heated seats were very warn in the winter. The leather seats are in incredibly good condition. As advised by the Civic Mk8 owners group I upgraded to Range Rover boot struts which make the boot opening much more refined. As the standard sound system is excellent for a standard car I added a Bluetooth receiver that goes through the car's aux lead with an inline grounding wire to limit interference. Works perfectly and comes with the car. I've installed stain glass window and film on my panoramic roof. I would have removed it for the sale but so many people online comment on it positively I thought I'd leave it. Can be hidden behind the electric sun blind also. If you wanted to peel it off, you could do so easily. As most people know the rear beam can be problematic on these cars as they have a tendency to trap water and corrode from the inside out. Many people believe they cannot be inspected but indeed they can when the car is on a ramp. (Standing forward and looking towards the back of the car, you can see into the seam). This one has surface rust which is to be expected but we jacked off of it today and it's as solid as it can be. (I did take a picture). __________________ Bad points: The aircon does not work on this car. We replaced the relay and now we can hear the pump but the air is room temp. If I was keeping this car through the summer I'd try a re-gas and see if that sorted it. (Aircon is quite a common issue on these cars). Handbrake handle is temporarily repaired with latex tape. It's comfortable and doesn't bother me. I ordered a replacement from Honda and they only had the wrong one so I had to return it. ________________ Driving up to Aberdeen I average 50-55mpg, around town I'm getting about 35-38mpg I've put a full tank of E5 in it for the new owner (you can run it on E10 but I believe you get slightly better MPG with E5). I was going to ask 1995 for this car but as the aircon needs sorting I've decided to put a new MOT on it as it only had a few months left. Fill the tank and offer it at 1800 Need for a larger vehicle forces sale. Come and have a drive.
