Solid, clean and in exceptional condition, do not be put off by high mileage. Any tests are welcome. I have owned this car for almost 13 years and am only selling due to an upgrade. It took me a few years to convince myself to trade the incredible value of the Skoda for a brand new car. The car has a full service history. It was maintained by the book, regardless of the condition, e.g., changing oil every year or 10k miles, changing the timing belt per mileage records, water pump at the same time, etc., etc. I have opted to use only premium parts and a highly reputable independent mechanic who I have gone to for all this time, and all maintenance receipts for the last 13 years are available. This car never broke down on me and never left me stranded. No mechanical or electrical faults, no leaks, it doesn't smoke and doesn't take oil, believe it or not, I have never ever had to top up the oil, it just goes from service to service. Mechanically, this is the best and the most reliable car I have ever had. The timing belt was replaced at 160k along with the water pump. Please note, negative bits: the EGR valve requires cleaning or replacement (reflected in the asking price), this only came up last week, I have reversed into a solid brick wall and claimed it under insurance because of the hight milage it was recorded as cat C ( cost of repair is deemed greater than the vehicle's value by insurance company, so I kept the car ), usual marks and wear for age. Car available from Friday 11th of April. I'm confident the next owner will enjoy it. As long as good quality parts are used and all is done on schedule, it should last a lifetime.
