Description

Presenting this lovely example of the classic Jaguar XJ8, which has had only two owners from new. Originally supplied by Royles of Cheshire, the background I gathered from the last owner is that the car resided in Henley-on-Thames with an elderly gentleman who used it infrequently in his later years, to the extent that it barely covered any miles between MOTsa fact clearly reflected in the MOT history. He was acquainted with the owner's son, who offered him the vehicle, and he could not resist the allure of this luxury car, despite not truly needing it. Thus, he became its custodian for a couple of years before reluctantly deciding to sell it, which is when I acquired it, drawn in by the remarkable value and sheer indulgence of this soon-to-be classic. The great advantage is that if you live in London, it meets the ULEZ standard, allowing you to drive into the city without charge. Additionally, it boasts low road tax and classic car insurance. If you are in the market for a vehicle that will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face, you will thoroughly enjoy the beautifully appointed cabin, which exudes luxury with its exquisite leather and walnut finishes. Another notable benefit is the low depreciation; should you take care of it, its value may even appreciate, especially as it is currently available at a very reasonable price. As the saying goes, "Champagne for beer money." The car comes equipped with a host of options, such as electric memory seats, alloy wheels, automatic dual climate control, a CD player, remote central locking, a walnut-trimmed steering wheel, cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors (the rear sensor can be a bit temperamental!). It has all electric windows and much more. The vehicle includes two factory keys with remotes that still bear the dealer's fobs, along with the original leather book pack containing all the manuals and a stamped service book. The MOT is valid until November 2025. Recently, over 700 was spent on routine maintenance to preserve its excellent condition. The interior is exceptionally clean, and the bodywork is in very good shape; however, do keep in mind that it is 22 years old, so there are a couple of tiny imperfections. Overall, this is a lovely car and undoubtedly great valuea true testament to the quality of British engineering which sadly declined.
