She was built in late 2000 at Jaguar in Coventry and immediately shipped out to Japan, the bodywork benefitting in the next 21 years from the warmer climate and zero road salt, and I understand was also stored indoors under a cover and not used for the last 3+ years until April 2022, when she was returned to the UK, and I bought once recommissioned a Jaguar specialist. Being one of only 50 Coupes built, with a low mileage, the Silverstone edition is both very rare now and built to a much higher standard above a normal XKR: Premium ventilated disc brakes, special perforated black leather interior, contrasting red sports stitching, special Silverstone tread plates, special platinum silver bodywork, white Silverstone Jaguar badges front and back, special birds eye maple veneer wood, CATS lowered and refined suspension by Jaguar's own SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) and massive 20" split rim Detroit Alloys. Included is a grey performance multi--layer all-weather cover, made specially for this car. I added a matching steering wheel cover and custom stitched mats, chrome polished bolted J-Gate, matching 'Jaguar' chromed Gear Knob, and chromed instrument rings. Upgraded Paramount stainless-steel & chrome exhaust (sounds and looks fabulous), four particularly good, factory correct Pirelli P Zero tyres with plenty of tread, as they were only installed in 2023 with minimal miles used since. Recently she has benefitted from a new high-quality battery, d-bush and top mount rubber replacements. I also have a new, boxed, JVC digital stereo with rear view camera that is made for this car - Just needs fitting in the dash by a specialist. In total, I have spent well over 5k in the last 3 years, servicing and improving her, subtly adding these improvements. Also included is an official Jaguar Heritage Certificate for this car and a rare, original full 2000 Silverstone F1 Grand Prix launch press pack, plus a large, plush furry Jaguar called Stella sitting across the back seats :-) There are still a couple of small external jobs to be done when desired - A small 5" area of lacquer loss on the paint work behind the rear nearside glass, and a light refurb of the alloys to cure some lacquer loss in places.
