Have driven the car roughly 17k in the 2+ years I've owned it, had no issues other than a broken exhaust valve spring, and the car is mechanically brilliant. All servicing done at correct intervals, with oil being changed yearly rather than BMW recommended 2 years. Has just had major service done at Lookers Stoke at cost of ~700, which won't need doing for a few years now. Only poor points are some stone chips to the bumper/bonnet and a scrape to the side of the bumper which is included in the photos, was quoted 400 at BMW to fix this.
