The body is totally original, as is the entire cab interior, including the seats, rubber matting, and door panels. It has its original engine, gearbox, and axle - even the towbar is a VW item fitted from new. The engine has been overhauled with valves and piston rings replaced. It has had new carburettors and electronic ignition. Its first owner kept the van for 37 years and we have owned it for a further 15 years. A brand new bespoke interior has been hand built by our traditional coach building company using birch ply, formica, aluminium, and linoleum flooring; materials reflecting its era. The newly upholstered bench seat opens out into a full-sized double bed and has been sumptuously covered with a hardwearing yet breathable fabric to give the greatest comfort regardless of weather.
