Description
Overview:
A stunning example of a 2001 Toyota, MR2, MK3 pre facelift. The MK3 sticks with the mid-engine, mini-supercar layout, that is so loved by the English public, and has just the right amount of power to be great fun, without intimidating newcomers or being expensive to own and operate. This car is known for putting a smile on your face at any speed. Under the bonnet lies the mid-mounted 1.8-litre '1ZZ-FED' inline-four with variable valve timing (VVT-i) that sends 138bhp and 126lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a well-chosen five-speed manual gear box, with a great throttle response.
My experience:
This is my second 2001 MK3 as I fell in love with the drive of this model. The modified sports exhaust system sound puts a smile on my face every time I drive it with its pleasant note (stock exhaust reinstalled for sale, performance exhaust included in price). I will be very sad to let it go, unfortunately my job now requires a larger off-road capable vehicle.
This example, as seen in the photos has had a complete exhaust upgrade to further improve the driving experience. This involves a pre cat delete, high flow sports catalytic converter, and a stainless sport back box. The original exhaust is fitted so this car is stock for sale. The pre cat internals are still in good condition with no signs of damage.
Condition:
The car has been well maintained and cared for by all previous owners as seen in the photos, It has been kept under a cover during mine and last owners ownership. The air con blows both hot and cold. It also has a scratch on the driver's side rear corner on the bumper that has been corrected with touch up paint, only cosmetic. The drivers side bolster has a faded finish due to use as expected on a car of this year.
Includes:
Spare key, High flow sports cat, Stainless performance back box, pre cat delete, Books of previous work, services and MOTs, The original Sony radio, The radio seen in the pictures with Bluetooth connectivity and phone mount, Spare wheel, Jack, locking nut key, spare wheel nuts, Small tube of matched paint.
