Description
New property has forced the sale of my well kept pride and joy. This is the 3.5L automatic skyline. The example is rare having only 45,000 miles on the clock. You will notice the speedo reads in Kilometres being a Japanese import. The car is in exceptional condition for its age and has been kept standard. There is no corrosion or rust underneath and "still looks new" in the words of my mechanic.
I've had a lot of work done including both valve covers being replaced with new aluminium ones from Concept Z performance in the US. Aux belts, 2 camshaft sensors, 1 crank sensor, window motors, just had new pads and discs all round. All the usual things that go wrong after 20 years have just been replaced. The Skyline is a high spec so you have the electric part leather seats, auto lights, folding mirrors and the usual niceties. The car has been serviced regularly using the best service parts and fluids.
Bit of history about V35 skylines
The 11th Gen Skyline 350GT (Gran Turismo) was designed by the legendary Hiroshi Hasegawa famous for S bodies / R34 and the the legendary R35 GTR and many other Nissans along the way
The similarities between a R35 and V35 become very evident when you put them side by side they are the same size the V35 is more related to a R35 as both are the same designer the R35 is PM platform and the V35 is the 2001 skyline FM platform which the R35 was derived from.
The R35 GTR development programme started in 2001 the same year the V35 was released and also back in 2005 a V35 coupe was used as a factory modified wide arched test mule with all the R35 running gear and engine and extensively tested in Japan as well Europe and Nuremberg. Powered by the super reliable factory forged VQ35DE the 350GT packed a healthy 287 hp factory and 0-60 in 5.3s an easy 300hp with a up rev (and now available ECUTEK) reflash.
The V35 coupe has always been such a immense car to drive and was off the radar to JDM petrolheads for years but now has a fast growing following jdm fans really have no idea what they missed as the 350GT is such a great car to drive and swiss watch reliability the 350GT was nissans equivalent to the BMW M3 in the same era and there is a great youtube video where they have a 350GT vs M3 vs 350z on track in Japan all stock cars the 350GT out performed both as well as handling it is quite a enlightening video.
With Japfest approaching this would be an attention grabber for sure. Sensible offers will be considered. Thanks for viewing.
