We are delighted to offer for sale this terrific 1972 TR6 CP model, with the 150hp fuel injected 6 cylinder engine in signal red. This car was subject to a full nut and bolt, body off restoration by marque specialists Racetorations in 1996. Subsequently in 2000, the engine was reconditioned and an unleaded conversion undertaken. Since restoration, the car has covered approximately 40,000 miles. In 2014, further body work and repaint was carried out, resulting in the exceptional condition the car presents today. More recently, a major recommissioning by ourselves has been completed including reconditioning of the gearbox, overdrive unit and clutch assembly. We have also fitted a new brake master cylinder and undertaken a full, all fluids major service. The current owner, as part of this winter project, has replaced the rear bumper with a new centre section, refitted fully refurbished steel wheels with new tyres, a new DAB period stereo, all new hoses, thermostatic fan operation etc. This lovely TR6 comes with a hard top in excellent condition, an additional set of Minilite alloy wheels with good tyres, a wooden steering wheel option and the original seats. Recently, the vinyl soft top and frame was replaced and more comfortable MX5 seats fitted. There is a full folder with receipts for the restoration work, engine reconditioning, old MOT’s, parts etc. There is also a folder with photos of the original restoration. A huge amount of work has been completed over the years and over £5000 spent over last winter to prepare the car for reliable summer motoring.
