Description
NO STUPID OFFERS OR SCAMMERS! I'm not desperate to sell....
A very nice example of the classic M3 finished in the sought after - Carbon Black paintwork with red leather. This is a 2004 manual non-sunroof coupe with lots of extras including Harman Kardon audio, sat-nav, TV tuner, auto lights and wipers plus newly refurbished 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres all round.
There are no modifications on this car except a tint on the rear windows (which can be removed if desired to return it to original). There is also a BlueBus device which allows you to use your modern phone with Bluetooth but maintains the original sat-nav/infotainment unit.
Externally it's in excellent condition. I had two brand new front wings supplied, painted and fitted by Dick Lovett BMW as there were two small bubbles on the front arches and I didn't want to do half a job by just addressing the rust.
Internally it's just as nice on the inside and while the nav screen has a few small pixel shifts, everything works as it should.
Mechanically MOT until July 2025 - the last 3 years it has passed with no advisories and prior to that hasn't had a failure since 2013 - and that was only for tyres. Last year I noticed a small oil leak which Redish Motorsport M3 specialists diagnosed as a leak from the crankshaft seal. Whilst replacing the seal they also fitted a new clutch and dual mass flywheel. They gave the car a clean bill of health with no further oil leaks.
Full-service history with stamps in the book and a folder of receipts.
The latest service carried out in September 2024 included:
Oil filter
Castrol EDGE 10w-60 engine oil
Air filter
Pollen filter
Fuel filter (including a new fuel input line).
Full diff oil change using Red Line 75w140 oil and friction modifier.
Gearbox oil change using Red Line 75w140 gear oil.
Full Air Conditioning re-charge carried out April 2024
During a service the previous owner asked BMW specialist - TWG Automotive garage to advise on anything that might need addressing and subsequently had all the rear brake lines and the exhaust brackets and bolts replaced.
Whilst this work was being carried out the fuel tank and exhaust were removed, and the rear subframe/boot floor was inspected and given a clean bill of health. There are no issues with the Vanos, and the rod bearings were also replaced by the previous owner. Always warmed up thoroughly and has been enthusiast-owned throughout its life.
