Originally a 1998 Rover Mini Cooper was fully restored at approx 54000 miles, now showing 969 miles and sympathetically backdated to a Mk1 998cc Austin Cooper (but with 1330cc!!) by Woodbridge Classic Cars. It is in fabulous condition inside and out and the underneath is also great. Nothing to do but enjoy! Originally red, this mini has been restored back the era of the 998cc Coopers of the mid 60's. Now in a lovely period Grey (I think close to a tweed grey) and has a lot of the styling cues from the Mk1 including the moustache grille, rear lights, seating and the instrument binnacle and wheels. The car was fully restored back in 2015 and stripped to bare metal, with all the usual body work issues addressed and styling changes made for the Mk1 look along with floor/sill upgrades, A pillar repairs and zinc priming amongst numerous other updates. There are invoices to show all of this work. Mechanical work included an upgraded and tuned 1330cc engine and reconditioned gearbox. The rebuilt engine was to the following specification: +60 overbore with new pistons and rings, full gasket set, crankshaft grind to first undersize with heavy duty tri metal bearings, Swiftune SW5-07B MPI camshaft with new followers, full gearbox reconditioning, standard high ratio, 2.7:1 drive, polished alloy rocker cover with "T"bar fasteners and refinishing in engine enamel, original MOWOG green. This really is a fantastic little restored and backdated Mini made to look like a mid 60's Cooper and she drives and feels like a bygone era but with 1330cc grunt. She is super reliable and a joy to take to shows where it always gathers a crowd.
