Description

1995 Mk3 golf gti 2. 0 8v Electronic green Sitting at 58k miles BBS split rim 16 inch alloys Toyo tyres Complete engine rebuild with honed block ( the reason for this when it is on such low miles is quite simply the engine is nearly 30 years old, & the car had been in storage since 2007 & gaskets, seals or anything made of rubber will perish when a car is sat that long. the life expectancy of gaskets and seals is around 15 to 20 years on these engines, last thing i want to do is sell a car and have the head gasket going on the new owner in the next 12 months or so, as it is just a matter of time, so while the engine was apart may aswell have it like new. I purchased this in 2021 & the work started in 2022 List of work done (theres probably a few things iv missed) New piston rings Reconditioned cylinder head New bottom end bearings New clutch kit New abs sensors New brake lines New brake hoses New brake discs front & rear New brake pads front & rear New springs Floor under sealed New headlining New wipers New bearings front and rear Fresh antifreeze New timing belt New battery New bulbs New Radiator Long mot (december 2025) Complete service New petrol tank straps New rear axle bushes New wishbones/ trailer arms updated pioneer dab stereo (still have the original sony cd player) original alloys can come with it Nearly 9k spent recommissioning this golf gti to this condition, Oil & oil filter will need to be changed after the 500 mile run in of the engine, i think iv done over 70 of miles so far, Car is insured but i have not taxed it and it is registered in my name. Hoping it gets a loving home where it is looked after & kept in this condition. It did get a chip in the windscreen on its way to the mot station but that has now been repaired. Only faults i can think of are the key does not work in the bootlock, but bootlock does work off the central locking, i have a new lock & key to go with it if it is something that would bother you. I have the owners manuals and wallet, last owner lost the service history but i have started it again with a booklet from a different mk3, as everything has been replaced previous service history is irrelevant now anyway, this golf drives as it did when it was new & puts my other mk3s to shame, very nice on the road, gears are very tight and precise, engine runs beautiful, most of the work done was done by a vw restoration specialist including the engine rebuild, the rest by myself
