I will try to avoid hyperbole here, but this is one outstanding condition 30th Anniversary Edition with unmarked body or paintwork with very low mileage. What elevates this particular car above most though is the inclusion of Sixteen thousand pounds worth of modifications largely completed by the 1st owner. These modifications comprise BBR220 engine conversion, Ohlins Road and Track uprated suspension, Complete BBR exhaust including manifold, front 4 pot Calipers with uprated pads. Anti-Gravity lightweight lithium battery, All 4 tyres are Continental Premium Sport 7 with nearly 100% tread left, there is even a back of the bonnet spoiler to enhance aerodynamics! However, I must reassure anyone not familiar with BBR or Ohlins, that these don't result in anything other than enhancement as opposed to some race car special. The additional 40 bhp from the engine modification simply means a way more tractable torquey engine, whilst the Ohlins give superb body control with a ride quality better than OEM. If it was important I would estimate 0-60 time in about 5.5 seconds(about 1 second quicker than OEM), but I haven't ever verified this figure The second owner was Reedley Motor Company (Hapton, Burnley) joint owner Ashley Sutcliffe who is a keen enthusiast and has held concessions to market such specialist cars as Caterham. Ashley further transformed the ride and suspension with 4-wheel alignment. I purchased the car just over 12 months ago on approx 16000 miles, and can safely say is the most thrilling, capable and enjoyable car I have ever owned, whilst still being able to achieve 43 mpg when not totally exploring the limits. A test drive is most strongly recommended, and to help facilitate that I could meet a prospective purchaser half way if that helped. There is some flexibility in the asking price, however this asking price was arrived at by using the Autotrader valuation for my OEM unmodified Anniversary Edition and then have added substantially less than half of what the BBR mods would cost.I cannot stress just how substantial the listed modifications have transformed the car, the added bonus was my Insurance premium was substantially reduced this year(with all mods declared) to a 'reasonable' three hundred and seventy five pounds.
