Mini City E, kept in a garage since ownership back in 2016. The car has undergone a lot of modifications, but most noticeably I have changed the engine to a 1275cc and fitted a fibreglass front end. The car has successfully completed three London to Brighton runs (pre Covid), but has not been used for the past 2 years and has been kept in the garage, so I'm selling it as a non-runner needing some work, and a full mechanical check over. Before I stopped using it there were no mechanical issues. The engine ran smooth and clean. The brakes, steering, drivetrain and suspension were all in great condition, with most parts being new, or having low mileage. Nearly all of the wiring loom has been redone, along with changing the temperamental glass fusebox to the modern blade fuse type, so electrically everything was working perfectly. As with most Minis there are of course the usual rust spots, though this one requires a bit more work as the nearside A panel needs replacing, along with the Flitch panel and Floor pan. As the A panel needs replacing it also requires clips to attach the front fibreglass end to the A panels on both sides. The scuttle needs some attention, as well as the nearside rear quarter, bottom of the doors (comes with two spare reasonably solid doors ready to fit), some filler on the valance has cracked, and some surface rust here and there as shown in the photos. Some of the more notable modifications; 1275cc ENGINE, standard but fitted with STRAIGHT CUT DROP GEARS, Fibreglass front end, Gaz shocks all round, fronts are the lowered type, Hi-Los all round, Negative camber arms, Fletcher lowered bottom ball joints, Solid mounted front subframe, Mini 1100 Special EXACTON WHEELS with new tyres all round that were fitted just before storage. Included in the sale are various spares, such as two doors, various glass, roof rack, foglights, heater, steering wheel etc, see photo's. Car is 40 years old next month, so will be elibible for tax and MOT exemption. I have the reciepts for pretty much everything I've bought and fitted to the car since owning it, along with a load of paperwork from previous owners.
