Description
I'm selling my 2004 53reg Cosmic Grey Ep3 Civic Type R after owning it since March 2013. I'm the 5th owner. It's an A/C model and it does work, I had the condenser rad changed around 6/7yrs ago and I had the main rad replaced early 2020. Privacy tinted glass on the rear windows. Michelin PS4 all around. Also it has a Pioneer head unit fitted with aux & USB and if you want to fit a sub then this has high pass filter to remove the bass from all the car speakers and sends 100% of the bass to the sub. My sub and wiring kit has been removed and sold separately. MOT until September. I have a stack of paperwork for the new owner that I received when I bought the car and I've added to it myself including the sales receipt from 2004. I think this car may have been a demonstrator since all the paperwork starts around 4/6months after it was first registered in January 2004. Around 2014/15 I fitted the K&N Typhoon induction kit, they're around $350 new, i got it for $70 off Ebay. It's a lifetime filter too so just buy the K&N filter cleaner and oil kit, then it's ready to go again and honestly when it goes, the sound is incredible, it's very distinctive and a Type R without an induction kit is just a shame to hide that sound. It's part service history, I kept up the main dealer services and MOT's but then towards the recent years I serviced and MOT'd at independent garages. The servicing got neglected around covid in terms of time but the mileage was down and it has been serviced since of course and has had one in September 2024. Other than the induction kit and head unit the car is stock. It also has Brembo pads and discs all around they're suprisingly cheap from Euro car parts. The car is mechanically sound however the negatives are the cosmetics, the n/s front wing has a scuff, n/s rear quarter has a scratch and two dents, rear bumper has scuff and the o/f area sill is dented which I've photographed for clarity. These Type R's use approximately 1ltr of oil per 1000miles if you're driving it hard so keep that topped up and I've only ran it on Vpower since I've owned it. It's a chain driven engine and there's no rattle or sign of slackening of the chain, this usually occurs if the oil level isn't kept up since the Vtec system relies on oil pressure. Any questions or queries are welcomed and I'm open to sensible offers. The car isn't stored at my house so any viewings would need to be arranged and I work shifts so im not always around in the evenings.
