Hi All, Picking up my new car within the next few days so I'm having to part with this one unfortunately. I've had it for 2 and half years now and it's been solid for me however will say it left me stranded the day I bought it. Incase you haven't seen this (I didn't when I bought the car) Vauxhall had a recall on clutches for the diesel version of the car. This was because of slave cylinders prematurely failing. Suprise suprise, it wasn't only the diesels which had this issue (well documented on Astra forums.) Unfortunately for me, I was on the receiving end of this when I bought the car and had to have the entire clutch system replaced including flywheel. I didn't have to replace the flywheel but considering the transmissions already out of the car, I decided to have this done at a cost of 1400 pound. The slave and master cylinder were all changed to the revised parts which resolved the issue. On the upside, that was the only issue I've had with the car, it's been faultless ever since and surprisingly good economy on the motorway for a 200 hp car (47 MPG) I've only done 8k miles on the car since I've had it, and in that time I've had it serviced every year regardless of milage. Next service and MOT is due end of a November. Along with this, this car was recommended to run on super unleaded so that's all that's been in it during my ownership. - HPI Clear - 42k miles - Had Android auto, reversing camera and a new display with lifetime warranty installed by Intellilinkmods. - Heated front and rear seats - Clutch and Flywheel fitted in the last 8k miles (Dreaded slave cylinder fail issue) - FSH - Tyres with plenty of tread (PS5's on the rear and eagle F1 AS5's on the front) Will mention that the alloys are a bit rough and would benefit from a refurb so I've factored this into the price. I've had a quote for 320 pounds for a local refurb company but their booked up for the next month. It does have some stone chips and scratches here and there but nothing major (doubt there's a 9 year old car which hasn't lived in a showroom which doesn't) Private plate will be removed before sale.
