Description
This particular car was featured in practical classics magazine in July 2014 as a future classic. (copy of magazine provided with car). At 20+ years old, the car can now be deemed as a classic due to its age, historical significance with its V-Tech engine and the reduction in numbers of available cars. The later photos are the photos taken at the time the article was published.
We have owned this car for the last twelve years and it has always been garaged. It was used daily up until 2016 and since then covers no more than 1000 to 3000 miles per annum including trips to the Isle of Skye and the North Coast 500. It is a fun car to drive.
We replaced the roof a few years back so it is in excellent condition. Rear wheel arches, bonnet and front bumper were also professionally repaired due to wear and tear. The wheels were machined and partially colour matched to give a unique feel without actually modifying the car but these are showing slight deterioration but are still in good condition. We have also fitted Honda S2000 specific moulded car mats. There are no specific modifications been carried out. There is a very small dent on the boot lid and a minor scratch on one of the door mirrors. There is slight wear to the drivers' seat caused by sliding in and out of the car which would be normal wear and tear for a car of this age.
The car drives exceptionally well and red lines at 9000 revs. The car was MOT'd in April. The car has been regularly serviced at a local garage and is in good mechanical condition.
The vehicle comes with a personal registration plate of S200 CAC and a set of show plates which we used when showing the car at events. The show plate shows the registration as S200C AC but it should be noted that these are not road legal.
These cars are getting rarer and prices are heading in an upward direction. It could be an investment or it could just be a fun car to drive. The car is owned by my wife but due to an injury, she finds it difficult to drive and has since found the advantages of an automatic drive. It is a reluctant sale.
