Ford Mondeo 2.0 diesel estate Automatic 2009 Mot expired Aug 2023 The car ran beautifully, the previous owner was a sales rep who had it serviced regularly, was the history available on the Ford website ? It developed a problem with reverse gear , so I had it checked at my local garage who advised a gearbox oil and service ? This was done and the car worked absolutely fine for a month or so and it came up again with a gearbox fault on the dashboard? So I took it back to the same garage who found a faulty valve on the mechatronic part of the gearbox? So I was prepared to purchase a reconditioned unit and get it fixed ? However the garage suddenly stopped trading and I was unable to retrieve my car until the garage had sorted their issues with their landlord etc ? So I had to purchase another car to use in the meantime? I've since recovered the car home , with mechatronic part of the gearbox removed as the garage left it ? So any potential purchaser would need to arrange recovery as it does not drive ? It's a lovely car and was very reliable until this fault?
