My beloved 1994 limited xj 4.0 121k miles MOT until end of Jan 2026 I have loads of documented work online Best bits - That series/phase 1 look - it's the best. The interior and steering wheel and them other S1 quirks. The retro dash and door cards and buttons the sound of the engine. It's spritely as can be. Also the alpine speaker upgrade sounds fabulous too!! Power aerial is very cool!! Mega comfy leather seats!! Love the colour and the white wall tyres - loads and loads of meat on them. Love that it turns heads also. The gearbox is smooth and responsive. Steers and handles nicely. Brakes and stops well. Starts on the button in all weathers. Recent brake pipe to get through MOT - tester said it was a solid motor. Niggly bits - It's kept outside on the drive all year round and so the paint work has areas of improvement needed - mainly the back part of the roof and little spots round the side. The two sills towards the back are beginning to show areas of being slightly rough. I have sill tape along the outers on both sides to help aid the matter and slow some worsening. Rear axle could do with a refurb / replacement - 4 wheel drive system works. Drivers seat power controls can be temperamental ( disconnected but in far back position ) Roof console hadn't been connected back up when roof lining was replaced. Lots of running parts, pipes and cooling systems replaced over the years - but it can require a top up now and then. This has always been the case in my 5 years of enjoyment. Reason for sale? Mrs has past her test and room is tight! Plus not having a garage ain't ideal. Do I want to sell ? Not really but it's for the best. Priced fairly with lots more potential. Two keys and book pack.
