Description

An early Jensen SP that has had all mechanical and electrical work carried out and is ready to use. I have owned the SP for 4 years and spent a significant amount of money on it and have a large file of receipts. I have spent much more on the SP than I am advertising it for but I have enjoyed owning and driving the SP and have priced it realistically for the next custodian to take over. 440 Cubic Inch 7.2 litre V8 Six Pack Mopar engine MOT and Road Tax exempt as a historic vehicle All work has been carried out professionally, the majority of this by a Jensen specialist. I have also had a brand new set of Holley Six Pack carbs fitted and professionally tuned by John Sleath Race Cars Limited This is a list of work I have had carried out on the SP although by no means exhaustive Fenair Air Conditioning system New aluminium radiator New engine bay wiring loom Fuse box refurbished Electrics for all switches checked and switches replaced where needed Wiper motor reconditioned Manifolds re-ground Engine core plugs replaced New starter motor Factory spec electronic ignition fitted Wiper motor reconditioned Heater and blower solenoids replaced Master brake cylinder refurbished Brake servo refurbished New rear discs, wheel bearings and all pads replaced front and rear Reconditioned Prop Shaft All brake and fuel hoses replaced Front suspension vertical links, fitted new top/bottom balljoints, track rod covers, anti-rollbar droplinks and bushes, brake flexis All wheel studs and nuts replaced Cable remote wing mirrors Front and rear Harringtons stainless steel bumpers and over-riders Retrosound classic car radio fitted with USB extension fitted in centre armrest box I have copies of the original Jensen records including the customer specifications at manufacture (SP's were only made to order) and Jensen certificate of authentication. I bought the car from the previous owner who had owned the SP since 1976. There are a couple of minor points I do need to mention. There are some tears in the base of the front passenger seat and I have tried to show these in the photograph. This is an easy repair for a competent trimmer and does not affect the comfort of the passenger. There is a little bit of paint blistering here and there as you would expect from a car painted 50 years ago. However it isn't really very obvious and once polished the SP looks fantastic and is always has a crowd around it when I take it to classic car meets.
