Description
This is a 3.0 Si and a future classic, with only 49 manual versions currently on the road. It drives great, and sounds great while doing so. The car has a naturally aspirated 3.0 litre straight six engine. The only step up to this is the Z4M, which has the 3.2 litre e46 engine. In a time where petrol cars are being taken over by electric vehicles; this is the engine you want and will stand out for future generations.
It is mechanically sound, having recently been checked over by a local garage and the body work is in really good condition, considering its age. The previous owner had the car ceramic coated and it is clear that all four previous owners have taken good care of it. There is a decent service history, the car originating from Kirkcaldy has largely stayed in the central belt before moving to the Highlands. It has only done 54,000 miles which is very low for a car of its age. There is only lack of servicing where throughout the years, the car has done very little mileage. It is pretty clear that this car has been garaged over the winter months and taken out only for the sun.
I purchased this car two months ago, as a stop gap until my M3 Touring arrives. I expected to enjoy it until the end of August, when it arrived. It turns out, it is now being delivered the end of the month, so forces the sale. I have thought about keeping it however it needs to be driven and enjoyed more regularly.
The only bad bits to the car that I have identified is some scratching on the dash where someone has attempted to remove the radio in an unsophisticated way. You can get a new fascia off ebay and fit it yourself, if you can follow instructions on youtube. The left headlight also has condensation. Again, trim can be unclipped; hairdryer used and when dry, sealed up again. If I do have time to get around to both, I will.
