Description
For Sale, my super rare, super low mileage Motegi edition 5th Generation Prelude with full service history. Currently the only manual, 2.2, Motegi Prelude I've found for sale in the UK.
Named after the Honda Motegi racing circuit - This is the one to have, with manual gearbox and the legendary H22A8, red-top engine producing 197 bhp and a 0-60 time of about 6.7 seconds. I have the car booked for MOT before sale and I am expecting zero advisories.
The car is about as rare as they come, with only around 100 H22A8 Preludes currently on the road in the UK, with a few of these being the Motegi edition and even fewer with the manual box.
The car is in near perfect condition and has been owned by obsessive owners that have kept it completely original while ensuring it has been maintained to an extremely high standard. It has a full service history from Honda and specialist garages, one of which also carried out a refurb of the red-top engine.
I took the car on as a winter project and driving 400 miles home it never missed a beat and had me smiling for the whole journey. I've spent thousands and a significant amount of my time perfecting what was already an amazing car, including resolving minor niggles and adding freshly powdercoated alloy wheels and new Yokohama tyres.
Cars need to be used to avoid developing problems when sitting idle and this Prelude has been used exactly the right amount, typically covering around 2500 miles per year. This has helped it to stay in amazing mechanical condition while maintaining an incredibly low, original mileage.
Already an outstanding car, it has a number of factory optional features that make it truly one of a kind including: sunroof; cruise control; a/c; Prelude running boards; original Prelude 'Elegance' floor mats; very rare front spotlights; 3 sets of keys including red key still in its blister pack; remote central locking with 3 fobs; Motegi options including Speedline wheels, body kit and the all important Motegi badge.
My Prelude really is a one off opportunity to own an iconic Japanese sports car that needs absolutely nothing done and has only improved with age. It is a pleasure to drive and 100% reliable and I would have no hesitation in jumping in it and driving to South of France tomorrow.
It draws interest and compliments wherever it goes. I haven't seen another Prelude on the road since I bought this one and the feeling of driving something unique on the road is a very special one.
