Our SEAT Ibiza was bought privately in May 2021. It was intended as a first car for my son but he has hardly driven it due to studying at University, and then finding a job in Cambridge, where it is far easier to bike or use public transports. The car has been serviced annually despite the low mileage. The latest MOT was carried out this week (16/04/2025) and passed with advisories on the tyres and suspension arms. As an act of good faith, I have replaced the suspension arms at my own cost (please see invoice), and my mechanic has advised me the tyres still have several thousand mileage in them so they really do not need replacing just yet. Overall, this Ibiza will be a fine car for first time drivers with very low running costs in terms of insurance and road tax, and should prove very reliable as SEAT is a part of the VW group.
