This is/was such a great car! But just failed MOT as rust on sub frame by suspension mounting point and ball joint dust cover and slight damage to rear seat belt webbing! (See photo of Refusal of MOT cert). For someone who knows what they're doing, this would be an easy fix to get the car back on the road. I bought it November 2023 with 126K miles from a neighbour who hardly used it over the many years he owned it (July 2011). I used as a local run around/dog walking car. When I bought it a new clutch and O2 sensor had just been fitted. I then had it fully checked by the local garage and serviced. New radiator, battery, spark plugs, aux belt, carb and engine flushed and cleaned, rear shock and spring. Car drove beautifully (and still does!) but MOT failure means would need to be towed away even though very driveable! Always starts first time. Great 4 wheel drive and amazing engine. Service history available, mostly stamped in book and/or invoices. Cam belt changed at 109K miles. This is the all weather version with full electric sunroof, air con, heated seats. It's 23 years old so it is what it is but great condition for its age. One area of rust on front wing not much bigger than thumb nail (see photo) otherwise good bodywork. Inside needs a good vac and slight tear to drivers seat but generally clean and tidy. Great repair project for someone who can put a new rear sub frame on or sell all the parts separately as engine, clutch, gearbox etc all very good as well as all other components! Open to sensible offers.
