The time has finally come to part ways with old faithful. This car has been fantastic to run and surprisingly I have not had the experiences of most N14 owners. I bought the car in 2021 and have enjoyed every year of ownership, though since moving to London in 2022, the car isn't really being used other than for a food shop by my mum back home and on road-trips once or twice a year by me. I have meticulously made sure that the oil is always up to the right level and have completed regular oil changes.
In 2022, during my final days of university, an elderly man somehow managed to bump into the car while it was parked and he damaged the drivers side back & front quarter panel and the drivers side door. I had a hire car for a good few weeks and the car was eventually written off, though I can almost guarantee this was due to the hire car costs. I bought the car back, knowing the damage was 99% cosmetic and set to repairing any damage (one control arm and a few panels). I didn't replace the door as it seemed too much hassle for a small dent (see image). As a result of this, the car is Category N - I have all the details/ print outs of this from the insurers which I can share if requested and photos of when I repaired it.

Bad Bits
- front bumper has a few paint chips (age related)
- Front brake discs need swapping.
- The clock resets and the interior fans don't work until you drive it for a while. I believe this is battery related it's usually left for about 3 months before it has any decent driving.
