Description
Words I can't believe I'm saying: after 8 wonderful years of service I'm putting my Polo up for sale. I'm not sure I'll ever emotionally recover from this, but having just moved to London I'm no longer in need of a car.
She just passed her MOT last week- it was around 300 to do the front discs and pads so she would pass & I spent an extra 300 to sort out something the air filter & rear pads which they advised would need doing in time.
Having owned it for 8 years I can tell you all the quirks, many of which I've just lived with because in recent years as a student they haven't been a priority. As such I'd rather the buyer have full transparency! In no particular order, this is what comes to mind:
- The lining of the fabric inside the ceiling has come loose
- She's got a few scratches picked up from her time being parked on the street whilst I was at uni. Honestly not sure if any of them might buff out because I've never tried
- Air con would need gassing before it flows cold again
- The wheels have always caused the tyres to very slowly leak pressure. I'd recommend doing the tyre pressure every 2/4 weeks
- New set of rear tyres put on 6 months ago (paid 140). Front tyres probably have 12 months on them I'd guess
- Last service was in 2023 because the last two MOT's have been quite expensive. I can't remember last year's one specifically but looking at the MOT record online I imagine it was something to do with the exhaust.
- Other large repair of note in the last 8 years was replacing the exhaust manifold ~5 years ago
I'll add to this list if anything else comes to mind. Happy to answer any questions!!
