Description
BMW 430d M Sport Gran Coupe - 2015 - 123,500 miles - 10,750 ONO - open to offers (but nothing silly)
A great example of a properly cared-for 430d Gran Coupe. Finished in silver with black accents - the best colour scheme for this shape. The way the light hits the curves gives it real presence, and the contrast from the blacked-out windows, grille, mirror caps, and gloss black wheels gives it an aggressive, clean look. I get compliments on it constantly.
It's powered by the 3.0L diesel producing 255bhp - plenty of torque, great on fuel, and still pulls strong. I've owned the car since December 2023 and have done around 15,000 miles, mostly motorway. It's been serviced every 5,000 miles under my ownership, and has full service history visible on the iDrive. All four brakes and pads were replaced last year.
Interior is in excellent condition. No damage, minimal wear, very clean. Everything works inside as it should. The boot opens and closes fine, though the auto-lift mechanism has stopped working so it needs to be opened manually - hasn't bothered me.
Outside, the car's in good condition overall. There are the usual chips and scratches for a 2015 car with this mileage. The bonnet has a key mark - annoying, but genuinely speaks to how much attention the car draws. The wheels are gloss black powder-coated and in great shape. No kerbing at all, just a small chip on the front left rim caused by a tyre fitter being careless with a hammer.
Tyres are all decent except the front right, which is low on tread and will need changing soon. Car will come with a fresh MOT for peace of mind.
Now for full transparency - a few things to be aware of:
The DPF has some loose honeycomb which causes a rattle at idle. It's harmless and only noticeable when you're standing outside the car.
The MAF sensor needs changing.
The steering rack needs a kit - it's fine to drive, but under braking you'll feel some play in the steering. It's noticeable and worth doing, but hasn't been urgent enough for me to sort.
Timing chain hasn't been done yet - standard for the mileage, no issues so far but worth knowing it's due eventually.
There's a small oil leak - flagged by my BMW specialist as nothing serious, but should be sorted at some point.
All in all, this is a strong example of the 430d. Looks fantastic, drives well, pulls hard, and has been looked after properly. The issues are all common things for a car of this age and mileage.
Selling purely due to job loss.
