Description
Meet Stella :-) a 1991 Nissan Figaro import from Japan, retro-styled, limited-edition coupe, produced by Nissan as a "Pike car". It's known for its classic, European-inspired design, featuring round headlamps, chrome accents, and a retractable fabric top. It was based on the Nissan Micra platform and has a turbocharged engine just under 1.0-liter. 1950s and 60s feel. Only 20,000 Figaros were produced, making them relatively rare and sought after, unfortunately a lot of these are getting broken down for parts due to not getting the TLC that they deserve.
The Figaro is a 2-door coupe with a fixed roof, but the top can be retracted.
Excellent condition overall, inside and out.
Leather interior. Features like air conditioning and a retro-style CD player (CD player still in very good working condition, mostly using the CD part of it but has radio and cassette player).
The car comes with a three-speed automatic transmission.
The Figaro's design concept was "Tokyo Nouvelle Vague," aiming to blend vintage and modern styles.
I have been its proud owner since June 2019 and have only added a few thousand miles since then, current odometer reading shows 112,920 kilometers which is just under 70,000 miles , figure taken as it passed its MOT this month on the 15th of April.
The inside leather is in excellent condition throughout , front and back seats. Leather was freshened up by the Leatherlab company in Bangor around end of August 2022.
The engine has been regularly checked by our local mechanic, I have kept some of the receipts of what was repaired since acquiring the vehicle ( no major repairs have been needed) . Engine runs very well and starts on first go. Usually driven at around 60 miles /hour max but can easily be pushed faster as I have reached the 70 miles/hour mark on a couple of occasions but not often as I would like to keep its good condition.
Front and back bumpers recently upgraded to stainless steel to last longer.
Also has new battery.
Slight touch of rust just under petrol cap as expected around arches for old vehicles but barely noticeable (see pictures for details) and touch of paint on back driver side arch, touched up by myself :-( (I tried to picture those in the photos).Over all a very quirky/ eye catching vehicle, gets attention every time its out and has been a pleasure to drive on many occasions to many scenic places here in Northern Ireland:-) Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, , I am located in county Down.
