To boost sales in the final years of the P38 model production, Land Rover introduced a sequence of limited editions that increased the model's exclusivity. The Royal Edition was introduced to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee towards the very end of P38 production between July and September 2002, making it one of the last P38 models off the line. 500 Royal Editions were made for worldwide distribution, over half of which went to Japan. The Royal Edition was only offered in metallic Epsom Green, mirroring the specification used by the royal family, therefore this example is rare produced in special order Chawton White colour. This 3 owner example supplied new in Japan in July 2002 was imported to the UK in June 2019, having covered just over 6,000 miles in the UK and has been owned by myself since September 2020.
